One on one counselling for all ages. Counselling is all about good communication; a good counsellor is not only a good listener but is able to both use and read nonverbal communication appropriately. A good counsellor does not dictate what a client needs, but will encourage them to find insight into their issues themselves by introducing coping tools and skills. As a qualified youth worker I have supported children of all ages with issues ranging from being bullied to exam stress, as well as teaching strategies to enhance resilience and to manage generalised anxiety. I have worked with individuals with Grief and Loss issues, especially those related to suicide and having been diagnosed with a mental illness. I have helped clients modify thought patterns and behaviour as well as teaching coping strategies relevant to the clients needs. Using a blend of clinically proven and pastoral strategies a usual session will last an hour and will be tailored to the client's needs. The cost of an hour's consultation is $60.00.
